Abstract286)   HTML21)    PDF (17051KB)(620)

This paper starts with a brief introduction to the development and application status of engineering materials for bathyscaphes both in China and abroad, and then it expounds on the function of new materials in supporting high-performance facilities for deep-sea observation and exploration. Furthermore, the paper looks forward to the development directions of key materials for deep-sea facilities, including titanium alloys, acryl glass, composites, buoyancy materials, and sealing materials, and it proposes suggestions on the organizational model to effectively break through the bottlenecks in deep-sea engineering materials.
